We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at America Lodge. It was the perfect house and setting for a family get-together. It was nice to have the choice of eating inside or out (both the huge kitchen table and the benches outside accomodated all 10 of us). The house has beautiful views and it was lovely to look out at sheep and buzzards overhead. A very tranquil and relaxing place to stay. We will definately be back. Thanks Lesley!

We had a fantastic time at America Lodge, its a lovely house in a perfect setting. We were so glad we ignored everybodys advice and decided to brave the snow. The snow made the weekend. Many thanks to Andrew for finding us some sacks to slide down the hill and for letting us get up close and personal with his "hot" pigs. Thanks so much for your hospitality. Its a weekend we will have fond memories of for a long time.

we were lucky enough to stay with you over new year with a group of friends. We had a fabulous time - the house was perfect for us, having rented cottages with poky kitchens before, it was great to be able to all sit around the kitchen table eating and drinking. The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch and I only wish we had more time to enjoy the surrounding area. we did sample a couple of pubs in Oakham(very nice), also the indian restaurant (very good!) and we did do a bit of walking.

America Lodge was just the job for a weekend away with friends, and an ideal base from which to explore Rutland. It felt like the house was being lent to us by friends rather than rented, with a good family feel to the place. Amazing views and friendly hosts. Highly recommended.

Hi Lesley, just a note to say how much our group enjoyed our stay at America Lodge. It's a beautiful house and the views are spectacular, it was just a shame about the fog on the first couple of days! The house was really well equiped and we thoroughly enjoyed the open fire in the living room.

We returned home safely after a long but uneventful trip. We just wanted to say how much we enjoyed staying at America Lodge. It was ideal for us and your attention was excellent.We hope we may have the opportunity to do it again sometime. Thank you once again.
